Morgan was featured in a short film on AIDS recognition and treatment. Safe Sex for Men and Women. The proceeds from the film went to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part-time member on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan also led other fundraising projects, and she also testified to a special Congressional panel about AIDS awareness. She is on the board of Governors of APLA. The organization has asked her to take over the role of the Surgeon General who was formerly C. Everett Koop at the AIDS-related gatherings. Steve Bell, a anchor on the news, has presented a AIDS Awareness Special. Ted Koppell has interviewed her several times on AIDS during Nightline. Morgan has won an Emmy award for Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was made specifically for Morgan. In spring, she co-starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. She then began her season of summer with Murder At The PTA Luncheon created by Von Zeerneck/Sertner. The show also included Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. Then she starred in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also appeared in the psychological thriller produced for USA Network. The film received one of the highest ratings ever.
